United Way Partners with Eyes on the Future to Stimulate Economic Development - Friday, August 15, 2008

For more than 85 years it has been the mission of United Way of Greater Rochester to bring together the community’s resources to solve the area’s most pressing issues. Now, the United Way is partnering with Eyes on the Future to promote economic growth and stimulate individual action throughout the Rochester Region. Hosted by the Small Business Council of Rochester, an affiliate of the Rochester Business Alliance, and the Greater Rochester Enterprise, Eyes on the Future 2008, a regional economic summit bringing together both local business leaders and national economic development experts, will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on October 10 at St. John Fisher College.

“There is a natural link between companies doing well in their business and companies doing good for the community,” said Dawn Borgeest, Senior Vice President and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, United Way of Greater Rochester. “Through joining our area’s greatest assets to individual action, we know that the Rochester Region can create collaborative growth for widespread success.”

Small Business Council and Greater Rochester Enterprise Announce Initial Sponsors - Monday, August 04, 2008

Sponsorships are now available for Eyes on the Future 2008, a summit on economic development and community support hosted by the Small Business Council of Rochester, an affiliate of the Rochester Business Alliance, and Greater Rochester Enterprise. The first group of sponsors for this year’s event includes Genesee Regional Bank, Employee Relations Associates, the County of Monroe, the City of Rochester, Rochester Business Journal, M&T Bank, Worldleaders, Inc., St. John Fisher College and Eric Mower and Associates. Eyes on the Future 2008 takes place from 8:00 to 11 a.m. on October 10 at St. John Fisher College.

A range of sponsorship packages are available, beginning at $2,500. Sponsors receive a number of benefits, based on their level of participation, including recognition in marketing and publicity materials and on site signage.

Greater Rochester Enterprise and Rochester Small Business Council Announce Eyes on the Future 2008 - Friday, July 18, 2008

Last June, more than one thousand people came together at the Eyes on the Future economic summit to learn about the area’s opportunities and assets as well as the role each person plays to be economic ambassadors for the Greater Rochester Region. The Small Business Council of Rochester, an affiliate of the Rochester Business Alliance, and the Greater Rochester Enterprise will further that dialogue with a second installment of the regional event, Eyes on the Future.

The economic summit will bring together local, state and national representatives on Friday, October 10th at St. John Fisher College from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. Governor David Paterson has been invited to deliver the keynote address.
