Chief Executive Officer, GateHouse Media, Incorporated

Michael E. Reed serves as Chief Executive Officer of GateHouse Media, Inc. Under Mr. Reed’s leadership GateHouse nearly doubled in size and completed an IPO, the first in the newspaper industry in 10 years.  GateHouse currently owns over 500 community newspapers, and is the largest owner of daily newspapers in the country with 98 daily publications spanning 21 states.  Mr. Reed focuses GateHouse on being a leader in smaller market print and online media businesses. 

Prior to joining GateHouse, Reed was formerly the President and Chief Executive Officer of Community Newspaper Holdings, Inc. ("CNHI") and had served in that capacity since 1999.
